Went without a hitch

Great staff went through wuickly without any stress

Poor communication

Myself and another lady didn’t not receive our luggage between jersey and Guernsey, initially very poor communication, lack of compassion, I was in guernsey to attend a memorial for my best friend and the other lady to arrange palliative care services for her daughter, there was no compassion until lack of compassion noted by myself to the Blue island worker. However once discussed further with the lady via my friends step father attempts to obtain luggage were made but delayed further due to a break down in communication between shifts, this may have been at the jersey end, it’s unclear. Member of staff became very helpful and kept in touch throughout process and was very apologetic.

Nightmare at GCI

I would never have expected such poor customer service and behavior of the the ground staff at such a tiny airport. Everyone seemed grumpy, unhappy or as dreary as the weather there---with the exception of "Jayne" at customer relations(?). I am not sure what her title was but I seized the moment to take note of her name & to thank her for her sensitivity and compassion. She was the one bright light in our whole experience at the airport. Due to the security process, we missed our flight and had to be rebooked the next day. I have never been to an airport in which the security staff were so punitive. My husband forgot that he had his I-pad in his carry-on and the security woman that checked him apparently deliberately, in glacially slow-motion went through his carry-on items as a result. She even checked each of his credit cards and thumbed through his currency notes, inspecting the tiniest of items. At first, Aurigny Airlines held the plane for us but this woman actually slowed down when the ground crew said that they would wait. Eventually, the crew stated they could no longer wait while this woman inspected coins, currency, & souvenirs from the Island. We missed our flight. If I believed she had been doing her job, I would be more conciliatory. But I believe she purposely caused us to miss our flight. She was not a "native" of the Island (she had a very heavy non-English accent) and maybe she was unhappy about the Brexit process. Who knows. I believe she was being spiteful and her words and behavior demonstrated that to us.

A long wait for security to check you.

Bearing in mind this is Guernsey airport, we were subjected to the worst check in procedure we have ever experienced. We have travelled all around the wold, U.K., Europe, Australia, New Zealand and the USA. We have never been treated so badly !

On the way back home there was confusion regards our flights and the lady in the desk in Guernsey was pretty rude when we were already anxious due to the message a few hours earlier regards the delays ect she want very good at putting our minds at rest if anything made the situation more aggrivated appreciate bigger airports are busy but Gurney was tiny maybe a little of the personal friendly approach would of worked
